Recreation in Clifton Knolls & Mill Creek

Clifton Knolls and Mill Creek are fortunate in having recreational facilities as an inherent part of the design of our neighborhoods.

Ponds and Walking Paths

Central to our homes in the development are a series of four ponds which are maintained by our Park District. Pictures of Barney Pond in summer and fall are shown on the right. The ponds offer an opportunity to do some fishing on a warm summer afternoon or some ice fishing on a cold winter day. They are bounded by walking paths through their wooded shorelines. Small plantings and park benches offer an opportunity within a short walk from your home to watch the Canada geese or take your kids for a nature hike.

Executive Golf Course

Also at the center of our development is a 9 hole executive golf course. The picture of the golf course on the right shows the large pond which is a prominent feature in the summertime with its central fountain display. Join a league or simply play a round with your neighbors. It offers a great way to relax on a summers evening after a day at work. No need to drive, just take a walk out your front door and you're almost there. The course is privately owned and has some of the most reasonable rates in our area.

Swimming Pools & Clubhouses

Another asset right in our development includes the two pools and clubhouse facilities. The pools at Locust Lane and Barney Road are shown in the pictures on the right. These pools are operated by the Town during the summer. For a reasonable membership fee, they offer an easy way to take a family swim within a short walk or bicycle ride from your home. The Barney Road pool is an Olympic size facility and opportunities there include swimming lessons for the kids and swim team practice for the athletes among them. The Locust Lane pool includes a large kiddy wading area and sponsors day camp activities over the summer season right in Clifton Knolls/Mill Creek.

Playgrounds

Our Park District also maintains a number of playgrounds with recently updated equipment for the kids. Several tennis courts and ball fields are also available. All of these facilities are integral to our homes and within an easy walk from our front doors.
