Schools Serving Clifton Knolls-Mill Creek

   The Shenendehowa Central School District provides elementary and secondary education for children in Clifton Knolls and Mill Creek. The main campus is located immediately north of Clifton Knolls (see campus map on right). Since it opened in 1953, the district has expanded to include two high school buildings, three middle schools and eight elementary schools. With a student population of over 9,600 and an annual operating budget approaching $130 million, Shenedehowa services southern Saratoga County, including the towns of Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Ballston, Malta, Stillwater and Waterford.

   There are many opportunities in the surrounding area for college education. Nationally known Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Union College, Sienna College and the State University at Albany are all just a short commute form Clifton Knolls. Many smaller institutions like Skidmore, Russell Sage, Maria College, Saint Rose and community colleges like Hudson Valley, Adirondack and Schenectady County are also within an easy commute. Some of the specialty learning institutions include Albany Law School and Albany Medical College.
